Police responded to a call from Kanye West's trainer Harley Pasternak around 1:20pm Pacific time. When authorities arrived at Pasternak's home they deemed the incident as a medical emergency. Kanye was taken to UCLA Medical center for his own safety. One of the doctors ruled that Kanye's behavior was due to severe sleep deprivation. Early this week Kanye West announced his support of president Donald Trump, which received tons of backlash from the hiphop community. During the following show in Sacramento Kanye announced that the only reason Beyoncé won Video of the Year at the 2016 VMAs is because she gave MTV an ultimatum. His rant and ending the concert after three songs left the audience outraged.
Mental illness should never be taken lightly. 2 of my childhood friends committed suicide by self inflicted gun shot wounds. After the tragic loss of people close to me I realize that depression and sparatic behavior is something some people can't seem to shake. I believe very artistic people battle with mental illness more because they don't identify with the rest of the world. Not to mention Kanye West loss his mother and has not seem to recover from her passing. Before being admitted to the hospital Kanye canceled the remaining 21 dates of the Saint Pablo tour. Kanye is in my prayers. Probably one of the corniest commercials I've ever seen. Drake singing Taylor Swift's bad blood while working out... TRASH! Oh and Drake's dance moves are terrible.
1. Nick Grant
• @Awesomenezz (Founder of TripleHQ) Definitely a dope artist. great lyricism. Can see he actually wants this. Clean website that gives everything we need to know about him and more. He seems consistent with placements and interviews as well so I definitely can see him doing more in 2017 such as headlining a SXSW & A3C show. Look forward to seeing more of this kid. My first introduction of Nick Grant was his performance this last summer at Raurfest. I like that he has substance in his music. You can tell that he draws his inspiration from artists like Erykah Badu and Outkast. It refreshing to listen to an artists that has studied the craft and has a true love for it. I also can’t get enough of “Get Up”! • @CarpeNika (Broke2Dope.Comfounder.) My first introduction of Nick Grant was his performance this last summer at Raurfest. I feel Nick Grant is a prime example of the much needed balance in the culture, especially on Atlanta's Hip Hop scene. From his real life metaphors, overall wordplay and lyricism...to his soulful beat selection and story telling. Definitely represents for the young spitters forreal. I see JG doing right by him. Billboards soon 2. Lotto Savage
@Teaacup_ (Founder Umoja Life x #SpillTheTea) That's dope he has a mainstream hit out. I hear it probably in every lit situation. It's great for a trap anthem but let's see how long he'll stay relevant. With a new wave of Atlanta music being made, Lotto Savage comes into the forefront of the movement talent wise. While his music is just now starting to make a wave, his lead single "Trapped it Out" is flames. He is way more lyrical than you think and Lotto shows that very well on his mixtape Lotto Kruger. Be on the look out for more banger out of Lotto Savage. I believe he will be around for a while in the music game, due to his talent and his assembly of a dope team. @MustBeFye (Founder Of FoodOnTheTable Vlogs) Lotto Savage. "Trap music" in Atlanta is always tricky for me. Either the artist is horrible at making music, or he's really not "trapping" or from the streets, and it shows through the music. I cant say that about Lotto. He has taken the summer by storm with Hit Single "Trapped it Out" + features. His artistry definitely shows and his street cred speaks for itself. Linked up 21 Savage and crew, looking forward to his next move. 3. Kelechi 4. 31Gramms 5. SmoovATL @Teaacup_ (Founder of UmojaLife x #SpillTheTea) He performed at one of my showcases about a year ago and won! Haven't had a chance to listen to his latest but I'm So glad to see he's still working and making a name for himself. 6. NorthsideMally @CarpeNika (Founder of Broke2Dope.com) I’m new to Northside Mally but I’ve apparently been sleep. After checking out his most recent project Mally Season, the artist definitely has the sauce. Mally has what it takes to propel in this industry and has aligned himself with some dope artists like Larry League and Lil Yachty. 7. Joye Marelyn 8. SkyGodSpence 9. Cam Major • @CarpeNika (Founder Of Broke2Dope.com) It’s about time Cam Major gets his recognition. Been on the Cam Major campaign for quite some time and talent he has is undeniable. Cam keeps it true to Atlanta and not only kills the track lyrically, he also has a great presence on stage and branded himself as the freestyle king. • @Teaacup_ (Founder of UmjoaLife x #SpillTheTea) Pretty cool Atlanta artist. I believe he's from Gwinnett (not sure) but he has an up top sound. Lyrically forward. His cover art & promotion is very unique. I really liked the Prince inspired single cover he had some time ago. I haven't really been keeping up lately but he's likely to art & promotion is very unique. I really liked the Prince inspired single cover he had some time ago. I haven't really been keeping up lately but he's likely to to "miss" him. However, even though he's on a lot of shows I feel that he's really slept on as an Atlanta artist in other Indy avenues.
@MustBeFye (FoodOnTheTable Vlogs) Cam Major: Been watching his career a few years now and definitely have witnessed the growth. Never limited or boxed himself in, which I feel got him the well deserved spot on the list. Hope to see the talent main soon. 10. Landstrip Chip
11. Oshea • @georgia_doll (Founder of @1GeorgiaMedia ) Love Oshea! He performed at CAU’s Hip-Hop Homecoming concert I helped coordinate in October. He and his team are very professional and he has such great lyrical content. If you don’t know of Oshea, definitely do your research and catch him performing in Atlanta at various venues. His stage presence is sure to captivate you. Overall, triple threat! 12. Rob Olu @MustBeFye (Founder of FoodOnTheTable Vlogs) RobOlu: Actually featured on my first FoodOnTheTable episode. Always believed in the talent, with a strong work ethic to match. Definitely expecting big things for his future. 13. MarzDaHippy 14.DrugRixhPeso 15. Mango Foo 16. Hardwurk 17. Snypa 18.
