September 7, 1996 Tupac was shot 6 times after leaving the Mike Tyson-Bruce Seldon fight. A white Cadillac opened fire and sprayed the green BMW Tupac and Suge Knight were in. Pac died 6 days later Friday September 13, 1996 at University Medical Center. Knight's attorney Thaddeus Culpepper said that Suge Knight reported his wife Sharitha Knight and former Death Row security chief Reggie White Jr were behind Tupac's murder. According to Suge Knight the bullets were intended for him not Tupac. In a signed affidavit taken by former LAPD detective Russell Poole, July 18, 2015, Thaddeus Culpepper stated Suge Knight has known for years his wife and Reggie White Jr were the culprits but decided to reveal the truth after watching the Tupac Assassination documentary. Knight sent private investigators to the director Richard J Bond's home, because he was amazed the director knew so many inside details about Tupac's murder. Suge Knight is currently serving time for murder and attempted charges for various. Knight believes by revealing new details about Tupac's murder her can prove he's been targeted by the industry for over 21 years. Sharitha Golden, the Sharitha Knight, stated that all of Suge Knight's allegations are untrue and she would never tried to kill Tupac because he was the meal ticket for Death Row records.
