Lynn Wright bka known as Eazy E released his solo debut single Boyz-n-the-Hood. Boyz-n-the-Hood was written by Ice Cube and released in 1987.

Nas confirmed that the late Amy Winehouse song Mr.Jones was indeed about him. Amy and Nas shared the same birthday "9/14" and begin dating. The two met through their mutual producer Salaam Remi. Amy references Nas daughter Destiny and Amy and Nas shared Birthday in the track. After Amy's death two post humous tracks one being "Like Smoke". After Like Smoke was released Nas told Genius,

“The greatest thing and the thing that’s sad. I met someone who shared my same birthday, who... We had no competition, we had no beef, we had no tension, nothing like that.
