20 years ago Tupac's "California Love" was hot. Although "California Love" was released December 28, 1995 it topped the charts throughout 1996. California Love was Tupac's most successful song, landed him a spot on Billboards Hot 100 for five weeks straight in the US along with Pac's other hit "How do you want it". Pac was fresh out of jail and Hip Hop fans everywhere were waiting on new material. "California Love" was featured on Pacs forth album All Eyez on Me. "California love" was Pac's first single as an artist on Death Row Records.

Adele's Hello music video has over 845 million views on YouTube since its October debut. I've found a few covers I hated and some I really enjoyed. Celine Dion surprise cover at a New Year's Eve concert in Vegas was rather disappointing... Very flat and nasal! Joe's R&B rendition is a nice spin on the original. Joe sounds very passionate and he made me believe he's been through the exact situation. Daughter of the legendary Nat King Cole and winner of 9 Grammys, Natalie Cole has passed away at age 65. Natalie Cole was best known for her songs "This will be" and "I got love on my mind". Cole was a fan favorite in the 70's. Past drug usage, kidney failure, hepatitis C led to her untimely death. Natalie had congestive heart failure at the time of death. Natalie Coles battle with drugs followed her throughout her career. Natalie shared her story in 2014 with the Houston chronicle. Cole tried marijuana in highschool, LSD and heroine in college. "In the late 60's everybody was doing drugs," she said. "Not everybody was addicted." In 2009 Cole had to have a kidney transplant and blamed it on her drug usage. Natalie Cole died at Los Angeles Cedar Sinai hospital December 31st 2015 |
