I had the pleasure of meeting Karen Civil in January at the Ladies who brunch event held in Atlanta. It's very important for young girls to have a influential role model that chooses to be fully clothed and demands respect. Karen Civil worked hard and found her niche through social media marketing and branding. She landed an internship with Grandmaster Flex and began working for some of the biggest names in music such as Young Money and Dipset. She did her first interview with Drake at Starbucks and used the Beats by Dre platform to grow her business. While listening to Karen Civil speak about her life... A few things she said really stuck with me. "Everyone's gonna have their quarter... Everyone's gonna have their shot" "Check that ego"
" I don't wanna focus on the gossip... I don't want any handouts I gave more than I took I seldomly ask for a favor" "It's a woman behind everything" "The people you over look are the people you should look at " "You can have a man and a career " "People are scared of your success" "Make money with your friends...business minded people" "I want to be able to give someone opportunity. Made my first million with my friends." "Life is so much bigger than you" "30 and I'm just now getting my foot in Time is of the essence" "They won't see it for you because they don't see it for themselves" "People give up their power by thinking they don't have any." "Be motivated not envious Be inspired not jealous" "Don't not allow yourself to be an obstacle in your path"
